August 2010: Bakewell Arts Festival

Bakewell Arts Festival ran from the 5th to the 16th August 2010. A selection of local artists' work was on show in the Medway Centre. "Uplit Tree" by Bert Broomhead was shown, as an introduction to the festival.

Bert's atmospheric picture, reminiscent of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night', was appreciated by local artists and visitors alike. The festival showcased exciting new artworks, poetry and literature, as well as dance and theatre.

Following the success of the festival, Bert's work will be on show as part of the Bakewell Arts Festival next year.
